If two heads are better than one, then following that logic, four heads would be pretty darn smart, especially if those four heads graduated college, law school and passed the bar like the FOUR attorneys the City (ala taxpayers) employs.
At the last council meeting it was revealed that it was Councilman Howe who was the force behind the City recouping some of the money we paid the outfit which conducted the feasibility study regarding the skate park and its location. The location selected, it turned out, was far from ideal. The City will receive $20,000 as a result of the botched study, but no ... not in cold hard cash. That money will be credited to the City toward some future services. The question I have is why not get the settlement now? Why are we acting as a “lender” in this situation and who’s the crack fortune teller with the foregone conclusion that we’d use these same people again if so, why? That's like winning a settlement against your doctor for a botched operation and allowing him to pay you by reducing the costs of future operations. Unbelievable.
